The GOP just won't stop their racist, xenophobic attacks on Rep. Ilhan Omar. As House leaders worked to remove Rep. Majorie Taylor Green from her committee seats, several Republicans went on the attack to strip Rep. Omar of her committee roles -- but Rep. Omar isn't backing down.
Rep. Omar made it clear that we cannot allow the violent attacks on our capitol at the hands of far-right QAnon conspiracy theorists to be ignored. And we agree that if we fail to act, leaders like Marjorie Taylor Green will continue to fundamentally destroy our democracy.
We have to stand up to the GOP's racism, misogyny, and Islamophobia. With the most diverse Congress in history, we're prepared to put up a fierce fight for justice and equality.
But as we continue to build a more representative government that works for the people, the GOP continues to put targets on the backs of powerful women leaders seeking to transform our country for the better. And even worse, right now, the GOP is using their attacks on Rep. Omar to rake in donor checks.
