When Donald Trump was president, the GOP cranked up their cruel deportation machine and deported thousands of immigrants -- including Southeast Asian refugees who fled their homelands after the Vietnam War.
Now that Democrats have reclaimed the Senate and the White House for the American people, our leaders in Congress are getting to work repairing our broken immigration system -- which includes introducing the National Office of New Americans Act to help make sure immigrants and refugees are welcome here.
