Faith Talks
As United Methodist Women celebrate Black History Month, they want to invite you to their Faith Talks podcast tomorrow (February 11) at 1 p.m. when they will interview:
Darryl W. Stephens, author of UMW’s 2021 Spiritual Growth study book, “Bearing Witness in the Kin-dom: Living into the Church’s Moral Witness through Radical Discipleship"
The Rev. Khristi Lauren Adams, author of “Parable of the Brown Girl: The Sacred Lives of Girls of Color,” and
Emily Jones, United Methodist Women executive for racial justice.
In this episode they will discuss why working for justice is part of our biblical faith, why the declaration that Black Lives Matter is controversial in the 21st Century, and ways to build community within the body of Christ. Register for Faith Talks at [link removed] [link removed].
Overcoming Lukewarm Discipleship
The Church of the Resurrection had a problem. Many of their congregants were attending worship but not engaging in their pathway of discipleship. Join leaders from Resurrection's Adult Discipleship team online March 4 for a training session focused on how they identified the problem and the strategies and resources helping them get back on track. You will be introduced to a new initiative, called Community Life Ministers, which they’ve employed to help accomplish our vision of building a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious people are becoming deeply committed Christians. The online training session runs from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on March 4. Cost is $29. Learn more and register at [link removed] [link removed].
