Additional support is desperately needed in order to help save lives and change the course of the pandemic.

We must do everything we can to stem the sharp rise in COVID-19 cases and deaths, especially in rural communities of South Texas.

That’s why last week, I wrote a letter to Governor Abbott requesting deployment of the Texas National Guard to facilitate vaccine distribution in border communities.

We need their assistance to overcome the challenges our local communities continue to face as we work to get through this pandemic as quickly as possible.
