We’ve taken a look at what we know about the vaccines so far, including how they work, when they will be available for people with diabetes, and what some of the common side effects are. Sarita's story: Getting the coronavirus vaccine
After living with type 2 diabetes since 1994, Sarita was recently offered the coronavirus vaccine. "Getting the phone call from the GP to say it was my turn for the vaccine was a relief for me and my family. Now I’ve had it, I feel safer and less worried in general." Sick day rules for people living with diabetes
This month, Diabetes UK South East is hosting two free online events to help people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes put sick day theory into practice. There will be a Diabetes Specialist Nurse at both events to offer advice and answer your questions. Register here.
