The GOP is hoping to convince the American people that Donald Trump's influence is dwindling -- and that impeaching Trump is a “waste of time.”
But that's not what we see.
According to POLITICO, Trump's leadership PAC has already amassed over $30 million to “boost loyalists and also to seek retribution against Republicans he believes have wronged him, such as the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump in mid-January.”
And CNN analyst Harry Enten has noted that Trump is in “a historically strong 2024 primary position for an ex-president.”
Convicting Trump in the Senate is the only way to ensure that he can never hold office again -- and that we can extinguish his grip on our country. But we know Republicans are spinning the tale in their favor, and it's crucial we know if the American people are still with us.
