February is the month of love... 💗💗💗

and this year, in particular, we should all try and practice some self-love by making sure that we're mentally as strong as we are physically.

Right now, you may feel worried or anxious about your finances, your health or those close to you. Perhaps you feel bored, frustrated or lonely. It's important to remember that it's OK to feel this way and that everyone reacts differently.

The NHS have pulled together some valuable resources that can really help you work through any issues that are troubling you.

Covid-19

Our centres might be closed right now! 

But Djanogly Community Leisure Centre is still helping you to be healthy by acting as a COVID-19 rapid testing site.

This facility is available as a "drop-in" to help identify and isolate individuals who have COVID-19 but do not have symptoms and may inadvertently be spreading the virus.

So,  if you're unable to stay at home, then consider getting regularly tested, as around 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 don’t have symptoms.

Dozens of women joined Claire Henson for a live online chat as part of This Girl Can Nottingham's Facebook group's Real Talk, Coffee and a Natter programme.

Claire spoke about dealing with anxiety, in particular, during lockdown and what she does to help manage her feelings.

Disability and Covid-19

Activity Alliance - the leading voice for disabled people in sport and activity is seriously concerned about the potential long-term damage on the nation’s least active, as new research shows twice as many disabled people felt that coronavirus greatly reduced their ability to do sport or physical activity compared to non-disabled people.
