John,

We all deserve access to clean, accessible, and affordable transportation – no matter our race or income. But Washington’s current transportation system is unsustainable and inequitable. Washington overwhelmingly prioritizes spending on new roads and highway expansions, at the expense of accessible and cleaner ways to get around. As a result, transportation is our state’s number one source of climate pollution.

Washington deserves a Clean and Just Transportation system that reduces climate pollution, improves community health, provides affordable options, and creates sustainable alternatives. Sign on to support a Clean and Just Transportation system in Washington! [[link removed]]

The Clean and Just Transportation priority seeks passage of a transportation package that reduces carbon emissions and air pollution, improves multimodal transportation choices, ensures fair and equitable outcomes for all, and ultimately shifts away from roadway expansion. The Clean and Just priority is just one of multiple critical climate policies this legislative session that would tackle emissions strategically across our economy.

Take action for a Clean and Just Transportation system! [[link removed]] With the urgency of climate change in this present moment, we must think broadly about how to tackle this crisis. The time is now to move forward a cleaner and more equitable transportation system for all Washingtonians.

Onward,

Sarah Farbstein
