I was proud to join millions of Canadians in today’s historic climate strike.

Our planet is in crisis. We need leaders who put people before big oil and gas subsidies. Who have the courage to protect our environment, our wildlife, and our waters. And who are not afraid to speak the truth.

Today, we marched with the leaders of tomorrow – young people like Greta Thunberg and Autumn Peltier who are showing us the path forward to a sustainable and bright future.

It was an honour to stand in our streets and demand better of our government – and ourselves – to do the work of reversing this crisis now.

And together, John, I believe we can do it.

That’s why I’m hoping you’ll share your own #climatestrike story and keep this critical conversation going. I’m committed to fighting climate change – and I hope you’ll join me.

Our beautiful land, waterways, and coastlines are under threat. Canadians deserve a government that takes this crisis seriously.

It’s time for Canada to be a climate action leader.
