John,

I send this email in haste as I am dealing with this breaking campaign development but I wanted you to be one of the first to hear the news:

Borth Wild Animal Kingdowm is set to close.

BREAKING NEWS: https://www.freedomforanimals.org.uk/news/breaking-borth-zoo-set-to-permanently-close

With your help we have been campaigning to shut down this zoo for a long time. Animals have lost their lives at the hands of this zoo in tragic ways including Nilly the lynx who was strangled to death. The zoo has breached it's licence regulations repeatedly, putting further lives at risk.

To add to this list of failings the zoo has racked up more than £100,000 in debt and today in a court hearing, was compulsorily wound up and had its assets liquidated.

We are now in contact with Ceredigion Council who are the licence authority for the zoo, to find out what the next steps are for the animals that remain captive at the zoo.

I will do my best to keep you updated on every new development on this situation. For now, if you can, I ask you to please make a one-off or monthly donation today which I can put to use straight away on this campaign. We are a small charity and rely completely on your support to help animals in captivity.

We are so close to securing this victory for animals, we must keep fighting!

Until all are free,

Sam Threadgill
Director

P.S. Borth Zoo is set to close! Please read and share the news! I will update you on the plans for the animals as soon as I can.
