Giving Project Grant Info Session and Application Deadline

Giving Project Grants <[link removed]> invest in Minnesota-based organizations that are led by and for Black people, Indigenous people, and people of color (BIPOC) with $ 15,000 of general operating support. Program staff are hosting an Info Session this Saturday, February 12 <[link removed]> at Noon. RSVP to learn about the program basics and ask any application-related questions.

The Giving Project grant deadline is 5 p.m. Central on Thursday, February 18. Muslim Day at the Capitol <[link removed]>
Tuesday, February 16 at 6 p.m.
As-Salamu alaykum & peace be upon you. This past year has been a trying one for the Muslim community. With the blessings of Allah, the Muslim community has grown in many ways. But perhaps the most foundational blessing of 2020 is to show us just how powerful we are when we come together.

Still, there is so much yet to do. Racism & Islamophobia are alive and well in the very political fabric of our nation. We need to protect the rights of our neighbors. We need to protect renters from eviction. We need to strengthen voting access. We need to tackle rising Islamophobia and white nationalism.

This year, 2021, comes with both political responsibilities and opportunities in Minnesota. The redistricting of the entire MN electoral districts is taking place this year. As well, our duty as Muslim is to represent and give our message of Islam to the rest of the world.

Join us for a deep canvass phone bank to call Minnesotans throughout the state, inviting them into the movement to stop Line 3.

We need to make sure everyone knows about this devastating pipeline and how to join the movement to stop it.

Deep canvassing means we are calling people to have relational conversations where we share our own stories, listen to the stories of the people we call, and invite them to take concrete action with us.

We need a world that puts people and the planet first - NOT profit. Together, we can build strong statewide solidarity and stop Enbridge’s Line 3 tar sands pipeline. Together, we can build a Minnesota that centers life - a Minnesota where everyone's children and their children’s children can flourish.

Text Bank to Stop Line 3 <[link removed]>
Wednesday, February 17 at 3:30 p.m.
Join us <[link removed]> for a text bank to text Minnesotans throughout the state, inviting them into the movement to stop Line 3. We need to make sure everyone knows about this devastating pipeline and how to join the movement to stop it.

Text banking is a great way to reach people who might not answer a phone call. Our text conversations are relational and give us the chance to share our own stories, listen to the concerns of the people we text, and invite them to take concrete action with us.

We need a world that puts people and the planet first - NOT profit. Together, we can build strong statewide solidarity and stop Enbridge’s tar sands pipeline. Together, we can build a Minnesota that centers life - a Minnesota where everyone's children and their children’s children can flourish.
