Recently our local Unto® partners met Anesu* and her 10-year-old daughter. As victims of Cyclone Adai, they lost everything in the storm and have been forced to seek temporary shelter at a nearby school. Our in-country team members work with partners in the area to meet people’s basic needs as they continue to rebuild their lives. They provided Anesu and many others with meals and critical aid. They also told her: “When the food is finished tomorrow, you will need some more. But the hope of Jesus will never leave you wanting more.” Anesu was so encouraged by the message of hope in Jesus that she invited our team members to share the eternal hope of Jesus with her friends and family. Our staff members were able to provide meals and share hope with many more people staying at the school. When you help provide a meal for someone today, you also share hope for tomorrow and all eternity. It starts with a 13-cent meal, and it results in entire families, villages, and people groups being changed by the hope of Jesus that will never leave them wanting more. *Name changed for security purposes. |
