Friend,

Just a quick note to let you know I have not let up on my push to bring some common-sense, sanity, and decency back to our politics.  Frankly, I'm out there talking to just about anyone who will listen!  We are just getting started, and I appreciate the incredible support the Country First movement is receiving from every single state and territory of our nation.

I penned an Op-Ed in today's Washington Post and appeared today on CNN Newsroom to discuss how vital it is that we convict the President for his part in the insurrection.  Why?  So that future generations and future presidents know that America will never tolerate this criminal, traitorous behavior.  You can watch the interview here:

I'm sure it comes as no surprise that the Trump-wing of the Republican Party is livid that I voted to impeach President Trump, and am now calling on Republican senators to put the Country First and follow the facts where they clearly lead: Conviction.  I've been censured by local GOP committees in Illinois, and the campaign to unseat me has begun.  I want you to know that I'm pushing forward unafraid, and am much more concerned with building this movement than an election two years down the road.

What should also come as no surprise is that I'm coming under fire from BOTH far-right and far-left groups,  It goes to show that the extremes on either side of the spectrum will never be happy unless a leader passes their purity tests.  They are different sides of the same coin, and their scare tactics, tests, and out-of-context scores have helped destroy compromise in Washington.  And more compromise is exactly what it will take for reasonable people to solve challenges large and small.

That's enough of a rant for today!  We are making some exciting announcements soon and this movement and momentum continues to grow.  Thanks for being part of this - it keeps me inspired every day.
