[1]Women's March
Let’s make our feelings clear this Valentine’s Day,
John.
Women are experiencing the worst effects of the COVID-19 recession. In the
last year, over 3 million women have dropped out of the workforce.^1
Women, especially women of color, have been impacted the most by wage
cuts, layoffs, loss of health insurance due to unemployment, and
increasing child care costs. From work, child care, chores, virtual
schooling — women all across the country are being expected to do it all —
and we’re on the brink.
But we need more than just relief from the pandemic. We need Congress to
pass lasting policy changes including a $15 minimum wage, paid sick leave,
and pay equity to create a future where women can thrive.
That’s why we’re recruiting Women’s Marchers to send Valentine’s Day notes
directly to Congress to let them know exactly what women need. [ [link removed] ]Click

This pandemic has exposed the long-time problems women in our country
face, the disparities that have formed from an economy that puts profits
over people, and the broken systems that are supposed to protect the most
vulnerable.
Congress must think bigger than just how much relief we need to get
through this crisis. Women need policy solutions that match the scale of
challenges we’ve faced for so long and to establish a future where we all
can thrive including:
* a $15 Minimum Wage
* paid Sick Leave and Pay Equity
* building back jobs for women
* Marshall Plan for Moms Task Force
So this Valentine’s Day, we’re asking Congress to #HaveAHeart and support
women in this pandemic and beyond. [ [link removed] ]Join thousands of other Women’s
Marchers and send your own Valentine’s note to Congress to support this
slate of demands.
Let’s do this,
Women’s March
