We have a mandate to legislate in defense of Black lives, John.

The first step in that process is to hold every politician who incited a white supremacist insurrectionist attack on the Capitol accountable — starting with the white supremacist-in-chief: Donald Trump.

Today, his second impeachment trial officially began in the Senate, and we must work together to make sure he is convicted and disqualified from ever holding public office again. Then, we must fight to pass Cori’s legislation to expel every member of Congress who aided and abetted in inciting violence at the Capitol through their attempts to overturn the election.

We’ll be honest with you, this fight isn’t going to be easy. The GOP has now made Cori a top target of their attacks — from BOOING Cori on the House floor when she supported impeachment to using bullying tactics against her on social media.

We refuse to just “move on” from the January 6th attack, John.

Trump and any of his cronies who broke their sacred Oath of Office must face the consequences.

We must convict our former white supremacist president. We must expel any white supremacist ally in Congress who fueled this attack. And we must make sure our government delivers on their mandate to legislate in defense of Black lives.
