Donald Trump must be held accountable for his actions.

The Senate is taking up former President Trump’s impeachment today.

He must be held accountable for his rhetoric that led to a violent insurrection at the Capitol.

And while President Biden has begun the process of healing our divided nation, it is critical that Donald Trump answer for his years of fomenting division and anger through his lies, bigotry, and hate.

The fate of the trial lies in the Senate now but the House will continue our push for accountability.

As more and more evidence comes out from that fateful day this January, it is clear that this violent mob was encouraged by the outgoing President.

They listened to his lies. They followed his lead to go to the Capitol. And they carried out violence in his name.

Our country will move on but moving on starts with holding those who assaulted this country's democracy accountable.
