U.S. President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have a rare
and historic opportunity to make generational progress in the fight against
climate change. Where they begin and how quickly they act will depend first and
foremost on the strength and resiliency of the Canada-U.S. relationship.

Join the Center for American Progress, Canada 2020, and Global Progress on
Friday, February 12th for an in-depth discussion about the ways policymakers,
business leaders, and citizens on both sides of the border can work together to
seize this moment. The event will feature a conversation between CAP founder
John Podesta and Gerald Butts, vice chairman and senior advisor at Eurasia Group
and former principal secretary to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The event will
be moderated by Althia Raj, bureau chief for HuffPost Canada.

Topics to be discussed include the future of electric vehicle production, shifts
and trends in international trade, the North American renewable energy market,
and the role of environmental justice issues during the shift to a clean market
economy.
