The PRO Act is a naked attempt to fill union ranks and coffers, NOT protect workers. Speak up.
Hi Friend,
Only big-government bureaucrats would introduce a job-destroying bill in the middle of a pandemic and recession.

Yet, that’s what Democrats in Congress did last week, when they reintroduced the Protecting the Right to Organize Act (PRO) Act.

The bill—co-sponsored by “Squad” members Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley, and endorsed by President Biden and Vice President Harris—is as senseless as it is reckless.

The PRO Act will destroy jobs when Americans need them the most.

Congress should be focused on getting more Americans back to work, rather than over-regulating jobs, like independent contracting and gig economy jobs, that American workers can do on their own time and terms.

We know who this bill was written to benefit—and it is not workers.

The PRO Act proposes sweeping changes to national labor laws, including repealing and banning right-to-work state laws, which freed workers from having to participate in or financially support unions, even when they opt out of union membership.

If the PRO Act becomes law, employers would be forced to turn over workers’ personal, private information to union organizers, potentially subjecting workers to harassment and retribution.

The PRO Act would also impose a version of California’s job-killing law Assembly Bill 5 (AB5) on the entire nation. That provision would reclassify millions of independent contractors as employees.

Unions have watched their membership and influence wither away over decades. Eliminating independent contracting will force workers back into union-driven employment.

The PRO Act is a naked attempt to fill union ranks and coffers—and it’s one that Americans must reject.
Friend,
join us in speaking out against the PRO Act and speaking up FOR independent contractors by signing our petition today. ([link removed])
