Hey John,

Last night, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguín reached out to us and said he wants to discuss our proposal for divesting city funds from animal agriculture! He's been ignoring us for months, but after the home demo a couple weeks ago and the action that had been planned for tonight, he has decided to schedule an online meeting with us.

So we have postponed the divestment protest that was going to happen tonight. It may happen in a few weeks if the City Council needs more motivation to take this important step and divest from cruelty.

We are seeing the power of direct action! This happened because of our consistent efforts making calls, sending postcards and emails, and getting out in the streets. Thank you to everyone who is helping with this campaign. Stay tuned for more updates and ways to help!
