"That's what we ****ing need to have, 30,000 guns up here."

John, this is what rioters said on the Capitol steps on January 6th. Rep. Jamie Raskin just shared a 13-minute long video on the house floor that showed how truly horrifying and violent this attack on our lawmakers and our democracy was. Donald Trump directly encouraged this violence and he needs to be held accountable. That's why we need you to raise your voice now more than ever.

John: Donald Trump incited a violent armed attack at the U.S. Capitol — egging on his supporters and white nationalists as they stormed lawmakers' offices and threatened the dome of our very democracy.

Trump’s presidency may be over — but his actions directly led to the deaths of at least five Americans. If we're serious about protecting our democracy and holding those who attack it accountable, we must take swift and decisive action now. That's why the U.S. Senate must vote to convict Donald Trump of high crimes.

Convicting Donald Trump will send a powerful signal that armed violence will never be tolerated — and creates a barrier to him ever ascending to the highest office in the land again. But the same senators that gave him a pass during his first impeachment trial have signaled again that Donald Trump is above the law.

With the impeachment trial just around the corner, we're searching for 10,000 gun safety activists to join with us and demand that the U.S. Senate uphold their constitutional duty. We can't keep this petition open past midnight, so please, tell us right now:
