I know this is a much longer email than we normally send, but I hope you'll give me the courtesy of reading the entire thing.
A lot of people have asked me how this campaign will be any different than my last run against Nunes in 2020. Please, give me a chance to explain.
I'll be honest with you... losing the last election was hard for me.
I worked my heart out, and I was so humbled by all of the volunteers and grassroots donors who stepped up to help us, and put their hope in us.
But after we lost, the experts who had initially counted me out commended our fight.
Political analysts said that because of our fight, Devin Nunes will face an entire future of competitive races. They said they’ve never seen the career politician campaign as much as he did against me.
Nunes is scared of our grassroots coalition -- 144,000 votes strong -- that knows California deserves better than him.
This time, I know we can beat Nunes for good. But I have to ask for your help to do it.
