Here we are again, friend.
Just over one year ago, after Trump’s first impeachment, the Republican-led Senate shirked their responsibility and allowed him to continue his blatant abuse of power. We knew then that it was only a matter of time until he did something worse. Now, we return to a new Senate that must do its duty: holding Trump accountable for inciting the attack on our Capitol and abandoning his sworn duty to protect our country on January 6.
Many Republicans have started to distract and detract from this crucial matter, even calling for “unity” after causing division for so long. However, we should all be united against those who seek to harm our country and who break the sacred oath of office. Mr. Trump broke that oath, violently and repeatedly.
*Call your senators today. If they already support conviction, voice your support and let them know you’re with them. If they deflect or refuse to take a position, tell them that nobody is above the law and as their constituent you expect them to convict.*

Any elected representative, especially the president, must be held accountable for damaging our country. It is what justice demands and what we need to move forward as everyone works towards healing this year.
Together,
Tom
