John—
Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) are a vital lifeline that allow so many of us to live independent lives.
Next week, Caring Across supporters from around the country will take that essential message to our federal lawmakers during a series of virtual lobby visits, and urge them to include HCBS in any relief and recovery efforts passed this year.
Virtual lobby visits work a little differently — instead of visiting lawmakers' offices in Washington, DC, we'll be calling in on Zoom. And that means that we need to do a little more to show our "people power." So to supplement this new technology, we're going to deliver an old-fashioned petition to each office during our visit.
Add your name today to demand that Congress support HCBS, and we'll deliver the petition during next week's lobby visits.

After hundreds of Caring Across supporters sent messages to Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Schumer last week, we began to hear good news about Congress including HCBS in the $1.9T pandemic relief plan. It shows that our power works!
But the pandemic relief bill isn't enough. We need to work to ensure that older adults and people with disabilities, who are valuable members of our communities, can live, thrive and receive care in their homes and communities. We all deserve a choice in where we live and age, and the pandemic has shined a light on the real and deadly risks of congregant settings like nursing homes or other institutions.
Congress needs to hear from all of us. And since we can't all join the Zoom lobby visits, signing this petition is the best way to have our voices heard.
Demand that Congress fully fund HCBS to support people who need care at home and the workers who provide it. Add your name today.
Sign the petition now.
