Governor DeWine Appoints O'Leary to Fill Painesville Municipal Court Vacancy

(PAINESVILLE, Ohio)?Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the appointment of James R. O'Leary to serve as a judge on the Painesville Municipal Court.

O'Leary, of Concord Township,?will?assume office on October 1, 2019, and must run for election on November 5, 2019, for the remainder of the term ending December 31, 2023. O'Leary is replacing Judge Michael Cicconetti, who resigned.

O'Leary received his bachelor?s degree from Lake Erie College in Painesville and law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland.? O'Leary currently serves as Magistrate for the Lake County Juvenile Court, Police Prosecutor for the Village of Kirtland Hills, Law Director for the City of Willoughby Hills, and Assistant Law Director for both the Village of Grand River and the Village of Kirtland Hills. O'Leary is a member of the Lake County Bar Association.
