John,
We only have a few weeks to convince Congress to continue U.S. efforts to end modern-day slavery. So far, more than 4,000 IJM advocates have taken action to ensure key anti-slavery programs are fully funded, but we need more.
Every year, advocates like you speak up to influence the U.S appropriations bill. Appropriations is, at its core, the annual process of building the budget for our national government. And it’s during this legislative rhythm that we learn whether or not anti-slavery programs like the Trafficking In Persons (TIP) office and the Program to End Modern Slavery (PEMS) are funded.
This is a grind. It’s a fight in Congress every year, and it’s a risk to the lives of millions if funding gets cut.
Will you join us and raise your voice to shut slavery down? Sign our petition to tell your representatives you care about this life-saving work.

In 2021, U.S. anti-slavery initiatives may not be top-of-mind for your representatives. After all, these programs are very small in the grand scheme of our national budget. That’s why it is imperative for advocates like you to remind Congress that their constituents care about ending modern-day slavery.

Take 10 seconds to sign our petition and tell your representatives on Capitol Hill to make sure the life-saving work of our nation’s anti-slavery initiatives are fully funded!
You have the power to move your representatives. Use your power and invite your friends and family to join you as well!
Thank you,
Nate King
National Director, U.S. Advocacy & Mobilization
