HIGHLIGHT
Making the Case for the Equitable Evaluation Framework™
|
This month, PEAK joins with Funders Together to End Homelessness, GEO, and Southern California Grantmakers to launch the "Making the Case Collaboratory," a six-month program with our members and the Equitable Evaluation Initiative that tackles the question: What might be possible if evaluation was conceptualized, implemented, and utilized in a manner that promotes equity?

In Remembrance
With great sadness, we share news of the recent passing of Susan Bouchard, Administrative Director of the Agnes M. Lindsay Trust and a beloved leader of PEAK's New England chapter (shown above, at left, with fellow chapter members). Her son reached out to share that Susan "often mentioned how much she enjoyed volunteering with PEAK. She was grateful to be a part of your team and work and travel with you folks.”
If you knew Susan and would like to honor her memory, the family suggests a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.

PEAK in Community
The latest news about our sector partnerships and how PEAK is advocating for more equitable grantmaking practices at conferences, convenings, and community conversations.
President and CEO Satonya joined Candid staff for their "Tea and Topics" series to introduce PEAK and share her vision for how PEAK and Candid can partner to be a strategic change agent for the philanthropic sector.
Satonya was featured as a keynote speaker on "Operationalizing Equity and Sharing Power" for the Florida Philanthropic Network's annual conference, and was joined by Melissa Sines to co-moderate a Q&A following the session. The invitation was extended by former PEAK Florida Chapter Chair Ashley Dietz, who began her tenure as FPN's President and CEO last fall.
We continued conversations on building a more robust data infrastructure for philanthropy that highlights demographic data, racial equity in grantmaking, and understanding risks to impact with Candid, National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, Native Ways Federation, Natives in Philanthropy, CHANGE Philanthropy, the Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity, Center for Disaster Philanthropy, and Open Road Alliance.
We connected with Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP) to discuss how we could support each other during our anniversary years – their 20th and our 25th!
We explored with Jewish Funders Network how PEAK can facilitate information-sharing with their members about implementing more equitable grantmaking practices.
