John, we’ll make this quick. A South Carolina lawmaker recently went on an unhinged, homophobic and transphobic rant, where he blamed LGBTQ equality and civil rights for America’s alleged decay, claiming:
“We are in a slow, downward moral decline in this country that was accelerated in the 1960s and continued to this day…. I am going to get theological. I believe, as a nation, we are in rebellion against God and God’s moral law. Just flat-out rebellion.”
He also had this awful thing to say about trans people, stating it’s “hard for me to wrap my head around it, that someone can wake up one day in a man’s body and say, ‘I think this is all messed up. I think I’m a woman…’ or vice versa.”
Look, this man’s rant is the best case we can make for electing LGBTQ voices at all levels of government. We NEED LGBTQ people in the room to drown out these bigots and block their toxic legislation. Chip in to power the rainbow wave today! [[link removed]]
