This month, the Ohio legislature reconvened to begin our work for the 134th General Assembly. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to devastate families and communities around the world, Ohio House Democrats have ensured that our response to this virus will continue to be a top priority.
We are ready to face the challenges ahead and keep striving to meet the needs of our communities.
As a reminder, you can follow everything we do in the General Assembly on the Ohio Channel. You can stream committee meetings and session debates. You can also follow bills and read testimony at Legislature.Ohio.Gov. Please reach out if you have questions. For official business my office number is (614) 466-1896 or you can email [email protected].
I work for you.

As one of Columbus’ most historic neighborhoods, Poindexter Village was a thriving oasis of music, art, and culture for so many Black families. Named for James Preston Poindexter, a minister, civil rights advocate and community leader, the Poindexter Village was dedicated in Oct. 1940 by President Franklin Roosevelt as one of the nation’s first public housing projects. Adding Poindexter Village to the Ohio History Connection’s network of historic places will help celebrate Ohio’s Black history by telling the story of our Black communities in the mid-20th century.

Last year, there were 109 domestic violence fatalities in Ohio. This General Assembly, Rep.
