Team,

2020 presented many unforeseen challenges for us all. The last thing we need is the federal government making things worse. Since day one of this new year, I have been fighting for YOU in Washington.

Recently I filed two bills to increase access to healthcare by eliminating nonsensical red tape. The FLEX Act allows businesses to band together to purchase affordable plans and gives consumers the freedom to purchase low-cost, short-term plans. The Equal Access to Care Act will make our healthcare system more flexible by allowing licensed healthcare providers to treat telehealth patients across state lines.

I have also reintroduced the Pandemic Healthcare Access Act, with the goal of providing more flexibility for patients during this time. This bill will allow Americans to use their Health Savings Accounts to pay for expensive pandemic costs. It also opens the door for more people to use telemedicine. Affordable healthcare has never been more important than now.

I’ve heard from many of you that these common sense ideas would make a big difference, and I will fight hard to pass them in Congress.

It is my honor to serve North Carolina and I can't thank you enough for your support. We will stay in touch.

Thank you,

Ted Budd
