We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and dymanic Consultant in Public Health to join the Nottingham City Council Public Health team. This is a full-time and permanentposition. The role will support with a range of public health agendas and include a focus on COVID-19 Impact and Recovery.

This appointment will support the Director of Public Health (DPH), the Council and partners to acheive these amitions for the City, by providing leadership to the COVID-19 response, as well as wider public health priorities.
You will be a key part of an expanding team of six Public Health Consultants and DPH, with support from Public Health Insight specialist and analysts. You will be intellectaully and practically flexible and able to cope with multiple and changing demands. You will use negotiation, motivation skills and publis health leadership skills to deal with complex publis health issues, advising and making recommendations regarding health and wellbeing. You will appreciate the importance of understanding Nottingham's diverse cultures, to advocate and enable effective working across organisational boundaries, influencing without direct authority where necessary.
You will be confident on leading on complex public health issues, advising the local authority, Clinical Commissioning Group, Integrated Care System and the Health and Wellbein Board, making recommendations regarding services, patient care and the wider determinants of health.
We will encourage your professional development, facilitating a range of CPD opportunities, that will enable you to be a confident, competent Consultant, and supervisor for registrars and junior doctors.
