John, it's been a little over a month since white supremacist insurrectionists stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to violently overturn the presidential election results, and the fight for accountability is just getting started.
This week, the Senate will kick off the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump. Some are saying Congress shouldn't spend time on impeaching a president who is already out of office or "looking backward" at the events of January 6th.
Well, we have a message for them: There is no progress without accountability first.
There can be no reconciliation or compromise with Nazis, white nationalists, fascists, and those who enable them. Their ideology seeks only power and demands only surrender.
Will you rush a $3 contribution to WFP today so we can keep pushing Congress to convict Trump, expel those who incited the insurrection, investigate the security response on January 6th, and keep up the fight for accountability?

Last month, we launched a pressure campaign in CO-3 targeting Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who tweeted, "Today is 1776" just hours before insurrectionists breached the Capitol. And folks are taking notice:
In addition to Colorado, we also launched highly-visible billboards in Texas targeting Senator Ted Cruz. But we can't stop there. This week, we're helping drive thousands of calls to Senators demanding they vote to convict Trump.
Securing accountability — for Trump and everyone else involved in the insurrection — is a critical part of ensuring that an attack like this never happens again. So we have to ask:
Will you help WFP push for real accountability for everyone who played a role in inciting the violence on January 6 with a contribution today? The more we raise right now, the more we can expand this call to other states and districts.
In solidarity,
All of us at the Working Families Party
