Dear John,
The Women’s and Fair Practices Departments are proud to host AFGE’s Black History Month event on Wednesday, February 10 from 7-9 PM ET via Facebook Live.
This event will celebrate labor’s great history in support the Civil Rights Movement. We are excited to be joined by A. Philip Randolph Institute President and incoming AFL-CIO Civil Rights Director Clayola Brown. President Brown will provide viewers with the history of union partnership and advocacy during the Civil Rights Movement and an overview of A. Philip Randolph, Bayard Rustin and APRI.
You can live stream the event on AFGE’s Facebook page! Viewers can submit questions via Facebook comment during the livestreamed event. We look forward to seeing you Wednesday, February 10 at 7 PM ET.
In Solidarity,
Jeremy A. Lannan
NVP for Women and Fair Practices
