To everyone who completed the short issues survey that we sent around last week, thank you for making your voice heard. We received hundreds and hundreds of thoughtful responses from supporters like you, and while we’re still reading through your replies, one thing was immediately clear right from the start: recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic is at the top of everyone’s minds.

Since the pandemic began nearly one year ago, my colleagues and I have fought tooth-and-nail to protect the health and safety of our families, first responders, caregivers, and essential workers, and for financial relief to keep our small businesses and local economies afloat. And at every turn, Republicans blocked our efforts. But now that Democrats are in control of both Congress and the White House, we’re finally able to deliver on the promise of a safe, equitable, and inclusive recovery for all.

Already, President Biden has begun to implement his national pandemic response strategy, one that’s backed by science and our most trusted public health experts. And in Congress, we’ve just cleared the way to send a comprehensive COVID-19 relief package straight to President Biden’s desk. But this is only just the beginning -- we still have a long way to go before every family, small business owner, and essential worker can rest knowing their government is fighting for them, just like I’m fighting for you.
