Friend,

On January 20th, I watched as we inaugurated President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. It was a historic moment and a breath of fresh air after four long years under the Trump administration.

And now President Biden has gotten to work.

In the first hours of his presidency, President Biden signed the following executive orders:

  • He revoked the travel ban on Muslim majority nations.
  • He directed an immediate halt to construction of the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
  • He fortified Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) to ensure that Dreamers are protected from deportation.
  • He revoked the Trump age exclusion of undocumented immigrants from the census and apportionment of Congressional representatives.
  • And, under his presidency, the Department of Homeland Security is conducting a review of enforcement practices over the next 100 days and placing a halt on all deportations.

Clearly, when President Biden said he would get to work on day one, he meant it. But now it’s time for us to get down to work in the House to back him up.

Currently, the Biden Harris administration's immigration plan calls for an eight-year pathway to citizenship for all 11 million undocumented immigrants, eliminating green card penalties, expanding the immigration channels, and creating support for immigrants in the United States.

I am looking forward to working with the Biden administration in reforming our immigration system. As the daughter of immigrants, this issue is one of my top priorities.

So, will you stand with me as we work towards reforming the American immigration system and donate $10 right now?

DONATE

Let’s get this done.
