Arizona Senate contempt vote: How did we get here, what does it mean and will county supervisors get arrested?

Arizona Senate Republicans are trying to arrest the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors!

Chasing conspiracy theories that Trump won the election, the Republican-controlled Arizona Senate is threatening to hold the supervisors, most of which are Republicans, in contempt for not caving into Senate Republican's audit requests.

This comes after the board already performed two audits as required by state law, a hand count, and testing of voting machines for accuracy. These audits found the ballots were counted with 100% accuracy.

Senate Republicans' claims of fraud are outlandish and politically motivated. Our elections officials deserve better than to be threatened with arrest in this Republican witch hunt.
