I've been a local advocate for close to 10 years and I am delighted to join the BBP/IPN Team. I have a science background in Forensic Pathology and I've served as a Community Organizer for Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Campaign and as a Health Policy Manager with the Children's Advocacy Alliance. So, yes - I'm an overachiever AND a jack-of-all-trades!

Originally from San Diego, California, I'm a second generation immigrant and my family is from Sinaloa, Mexico. My family moved here during the 2006 housing boom and I graduated from Spring Valley High School and the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. I now live in SouthWest Las Vegas with my partner of 3 years and our adorable Staffie Mix, PeeWee. In my spare time, you can find me hiking around our gorgeous public lands, volunteering for progressive issues, and running a chronic illness support group called Spoonie Squad.
