Hi folks!
Please join us tonight for our weekly Bread and Roses meeting at 7! We'll be discussing the next steps for our care package drive as well as exploring an overarching vision that will ideally shape our future mutual aid efforts. Also, we raised $1,129 for our care package drive! Many, many thanks to people who donated money, time, and materials to this drive!!! An online form will be available to those who would like to request items soon and people without computer access can call me personally at 413-429-7088 to make requests.
We're launching a new group, Neighbor to Neighbor, on Wednesdays at 8. The purpose of this group is to share our experiences with socialism, capitalism. community, mental health, social justice, environmental justice - pretty much everything - in a kind, safe group setting. Bring snacks, bring questions, hang out.
Over the past few months, some members have expressed an interest in
tenant organizing. The DSA is hosting a free workshop this Thursday at 8:30 on "How to Build Tenant Organizing Capacity." You can register for the event
here.
Lastly, we're launching our
socialist film series this weekend! We'll be watching the film
"The Murder of Fred Hampton", starting at 7 PM this Saturday, February 13 with a discussion to follow. Come escape the Valentine's Day weirdness with us. Amillie will be sending out more info about this event shortly. I'm looking forward to seeing you there!
And
a reminder to submit prose, poetry, or artwork to our zine!🌹 You can send your work or your questions to
[email protected].
Hope everyone is doing well and getting out there to soak up the sun today!
In solidarity,
Abby
