On Tuesday, Senate Democrats voted to take the first step forward on Biden's $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package.

But not one Republican voted for the COVID relief package. Not one.

Instead, they’re offering a watered-down counterproposal that does not do nearly enough for families and working people — $400 less per stimulus check and no assistance for state and local governments. A slap in the face that we won’t forget.

Republicans whine about "unity" but couldn’t care less about uniting for meaningful COVID relief. That’s why it’s crucial that Democrats move forward without them and pass the rescue package at all costs. The GOP’s vote against Biden’s rescue package is a slap in the face to struggling families, struggling small businesses, struggling communities, and everyday people. The GOP needs to get on board, or get out of the way.
