John -
On his first day in office, President Biden immediately took action to reverse Trump’s bigoted Muslim Ban. NIAC Action spearheaded this change and now the work of reuniting families begins.
But we still have a ton of work to do. We need to make sure consular services are restored so our families can actually get visa appointments. Applications stuck in processing need to be expedited. And we must ensure those unfairly rejected under the ban can easily re-apply.
We can’t wait to reunite with our families the first moment it’s safe. And we’re committed to doing the work to make sure that can happen.
Can we count on your support as NIAC continues this important work?

John, as we work to undo the administrative hurdles in place, we still need to do everything we can to make sure that no such ban is ever put in place again.
Too many of us have gone years without seeing our family — our parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins. This has taken an immeasurable emotional toll. And some of our families youngest members are yet to meet their relatives stuck on the other side of this cruel ban.
The best way to permanently protect our families from future bans is to get the NO BAN Act, which passed the House last summer, signed into law.
With a President who has signaled his willingness to work with us to pass meaningful policy, NIAC Action has a unique opportunity to affect change. We’ll continue fighting for our community and for a seat at the table in the new administration, but to continue having a unified, organized voice — we need you to step up, John.
