It’s critical that the people responsible for furthering Trump’s agenda are weeded out.

Dear Friend,

It’s been 18 days since Donald Trump was booted out of office and sent back to Mar-a-Lago.

But Trump appointees are still filling key positions all over the federal government, and they will continue to do immeasurable damage until they are gone.

For instance, Social Security Administration Commissioner Andrew Saul, one of the worst of Trump’s appointees, is still in office—where he can continue his attempts to slash benefits and undermine workers.1

Demand Progress is mobilizing grassroots pressure calling on President Biden to weed out every last Trump political appointee, and we need your help to reach out to more people and get them to take urgent action.

Will you donate to help stop Trump appointees from damaging Biden’s administration and to support all our urgent work?

Trump Social Security Administration Commissioner Andrew Saul has been orchestrating a severe underfunding of the agency that has resulted in field office closures and customer service cutbacks—resulting in long phone lines and people not getting the checks they need.2 He's also worked to undermine the SSA's union in an effort to get rid of it entirely.3

But Saul could be in office until 2025, when his term runs out.4

Another example is Louis DeJoy, the postmaster general responsible for throwing the U.S. Postal Service into disarray over the past six months.5 He should never have kept his job this long.

Biden has the power to directly fire nearly all of Trump's political appointees, a power recently reaffirmed up by the Supreme Court. And he can appoint new members of the Postal Board of Governors in order to get rid of DeJoy. Will you stand with us by making a donation to help weed out Trump appointees from the Biden administration?

Yes, I’ll donate today.

Thanks for standing with us.

Robert Cruickshank,
Demand Progress
