Former President Trump’s impeachment trial begins tomorrow, and there is only one real option for accountability and reconciliation: Trump’s conviction and disqualification from holding office ever again.

The trial is about Trump’s actions and his unique responsibility as president to safeguard our democracy. His repetition and amplification of lies about voter fraud and about who won the election, his calls for his supporters to take action that many interpreted as a call to violence, his outrageous and likely criminal pressure on state elections officials in Georgia to overturn the state’s election results—it all added up to the incitement of a terrible, deadly insurrection.

As senators consider their votes, we need to make sure they hear from thousands of people in support of conviction. Help keep the pressure on by taking action today:

1. Email your senators and ask them to vote to convict.
2. Call your senators at 844-447-7270 and let them know that conviction and disqualification is the only way to truly hold Trump accountable for his incitement of a deadly insurrection.

Trump drove our democracy to the brink with his dangerous attempts to cling to power. If senators believe in the principles and the future of our democracy, they must vote to convict. There is no other moral choice.
