John: U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D, VA) is the only senator in the DMV who has not yet signed on as an original co-sponsor of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, which was just introduced last Thursday.

Please take a moment now to call or email his office TODAY and tell him to support the PRO Act: call 202-224-2023 TODAY or email him here (see below for sample email).

The PRO Act is a long overdue proposal that would restore fairness to workers by strengthening the federal laws that protect the right to organize a union and bargain for good wages and better benefits. The PRO Act is the cornerstone of the AFL-CIO’s Workers First Agenda.

Working people fought to elect pro-worker lawmakers to the Senate, House, and White House. The power is now in our hands; please call on Mark Warner to stand with us!

Call 202-224-2023 TODAY or email him here (see below for sample email).

David Stephen, Political and Legislative Director
Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO

Dear Senator Warner, I am a proud union member of [state your affiliate] and I am writing to request that you join the 41 members of the Senate Democratic who co-sponsored the PRO Act last year. The bill is being introduced today and the Labor Movement needs you to stand with us as a co-sponsor. Stronger unions mean higher wages, safer working conditions, and dignity for all people who work. Passing the PRO Act is a necessary step in building our strength. Thank you for your commitment over the years to the Labor Movement and we look forward to you continuing to do so by supporting the PRO Act.
