This morning I spoke on a Trib Fest panel about the changing politics in the suburbs. We discussed growth and demographic change, evolving attitudes, and the backlash to a Trump Presidency.

Naysayers want to claim 2018 was an outlier, an anomoly that won't be repeated. But I know that isn't true. Everyday I see the energy in the grassroots and the positive response to fighting for Texas families on schools, healthcare, and jobs.

Make no mistake, winning re-election won't be easy. Texas is the biggest battleground state, and the suburban districts like mine are the frontlines.
