Shocked? Maybe you shouldn't be. After all, Republicans have been undermining democracy for years using tactics like gerrymandering and voter suppression. Now they've gotten more overt -- 57% of the House Republican Caucus voted to overturn the results of the 2020 election -- but it's all part of the same strategy to retain political power at all costs. And their time-tested tactics are making a return:
➞ After losing elections in 2020, Republicans at the state level are looking to pass even more onerous voter suppression bills that will particularly harm communities of color.
➞ And they're openly discussing their plans to gerrymander again in 2021 and 2022.
