Indiana is not a friendly place for LGBTQIA+ individuals to call home, yet 4.5% of the population are LGBTQ according to a Gallup Poll.
The State doesn't have any protections for Family Leave Laws for LGBTQ+ individuals lacking specifically:
LGBTQ-Inclusive Definitions of Spouse/Partner
LGBTQ-Inclusive Definitions of Children/Parents
However, that is just the beginning of the legal hell-hole that is Indiana LGBTQ+ discrimination. Indiana is known for the Religious Freedom Act, a broad act that allows discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals based on one's religion.
This is why the Lavender Greens Caucus needs YOU. We can only begin to change the legislation and minds of Hoosiers with dedicated volunteers who step up in times like this.

The Lavender Caucus is officially affiliated with the Indiana Green Party!
The creation of the Lavender Greens signifies a step towards inclusion and diversity for the INGP. The Lavender Greens are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and other gender/romantic minorities Indiana Green Party members organized as a Caucus with the purpose of promoting Lavender issues within the Green Party and promoting the INGP to the LGBTQIA+ community.
