One month ago, we experienced one of the darkest days in American history.
I will not make you relive the utter terror and violence our nation watched unfold as alt-right insurrectionists stormed our Capitol building. Instead, it’s important that we acknowledge that, one month later, there has still been zero accountability for the bad actors who supported and encouraged this attack.
That’s why I called for hearings to expel Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who repeatedly called for violence, from the House of Representatives.
Rep. Greene has shared racist, xenophobia, and harmful disinformation on social media and the House floor. Despite the violence we saw one month ago, she has still refused to apologize or take back her harmful rhetoric. This type of behavior and these hateful beliefs should not be tolerated in the U.S. House of Representatives – a body of Congress which I am very proud to serve in.
A few days ago, I joined my House colleagues in voting to strip Rep. Greene from her committee assignments. But quite frankly, that’s not enough.
I will always take on the responsibility of doing what’s right to protect our democracy and make our country work for all of us. Donate today to show your support for my work in Congress, like calling for hearings to expel Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress.
Thank you for your support,
Ro Khanna
