Despite the rising cost of living across the country, with rent and other bills increasing, the federal minimum wage has remained stagnant at $7.25 an hour since 2009. That’s bogus.

Especially now in the middle of a pandemic that’s had devastating financial impacts, people need and deserve a livable wage. Many of the frontline workers putting themselves at risk, like health care workers, grocery store employees, custodial staff and others, are being hailed as heroes but still getting paid poverty wages.

We must fight for nothing less than prosperity in every single zip code, all across the country.
