Friends,

Marjorie Taylor Greene (Q-GA) supports the baseless QAnon conspiracy, an extreme ideology that the FBI warns is a domestic terrorist threat. She has:

  • Claimed that school shootings are "false flag operations";
  • Verbally harassed a teenage survivor of the Parkland shooting;
  • Likened a Muslim congresswoman to a terrorist;
  • Amplified the racist and Islamophobic "birtherism" claim;
  • Believes that laziness and gangs, not systemic racism, are to blame for the disparities amongst Black and Latinx populations;
  • Endorsed calls for the execution of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats in Congress;
  • Used anti-Semitic tropes to justify claims of California wildfires plot;
  • Refused to wear a mask during the Capitol attack;
  • Harassed a first-term Black congresswoman.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy had every opportunity to display leadership. Instead, he's sending a message that conspiracies and incitement are acceptable. Here's what Jason had to say:
"Kevin McCarthy and folks on the other side of the aisle have had an opportunity to lead. They've had an opportunity to stand up and be the leader that our nation and their party actually needs right now." -- Jason Crow
Marjorie Taylor Green's rhetoric isn't just hateful; it's dangerous. These sorts of lies and conspiracy theories have resulted in violence and a domestic terrorist threat we will continue to confront in the months to come.

The American people deserve better -- that's why Jason voted to remove Greene from her committee roles this week. When Donald Trump called an angry mob to attack our Capitol on January 6, Jason promised to do everything he could so that something like it never happens again. The potential for another attack grows larger the longer that this congresswoman (whose efforts to overturn the election aided the terrorist attack) holds office.

McCarthy and his caucus won't step up, so Jason and his Democratic colleagues will hold her accountable. If you believe representatives should only pledge loyalty to the Constitution, not conspiracies, white supremacy, Islamophobia, or anti-Semitism, add your name >>

Thank you,

Crow HQ
