The headlines for Rep. Kat Cammack’s life story write themselves: “From homeless to the House,” trumpeted Newsweek.

“Congresswoman Kat Cammack,” echoed a Fox affiliate, “goes from homeless to the House.” “Only in America' is this possible,” Cammack told the TV reporter.

Cammack didn’t let the experience of losing her family home embitter her. Instead she turned it into something positive, culminating in her becoming the youngest Republican woman ever elected to Congress.

IWF is delighted to add Rep. Cammack, 32, to our popular series of Champion Women profiles.

Cammack was elected to represent Florida’s 3rd congressional district in the 117th Congress in November. She won her race with 57 percent of the vote, becoming one of the record number of GOP women elected to Congress last year.

Cammack describes herself as a “constitutional conservative,” and is a staunch supporter of a secure Southern border and Second Amendment rights. She asserts that the Green New Deal represents “the antithesis of American values.”

Cammack, who served as deputy chief of staff to the congressman she is replacing, lives in Gainesville, Florida, with) husband, Matt Harrison, a firefighter.

We know you will enjoy meeting this courageous woman who brings a commitment to conservative values and much-needed ebullient spirits to Washington.
