Dear John,

Things are moving quickly in our campaign to elect Brad Lander as NYC’s next Comptroller. So quickly in fact, that I’m a little late in introducing myself!

I’m Chris, and I’m thrilled to be joining Team Lander as Brad’s campaign manager! I was born and raised in NYC, spent the last few years working on campaigns to elect progressives to local office across the country, and couldn’t be more excited to be back home working to elect a true progressive leader.

My top priority right now is making sure that we have the resources we need to run a citywide campaign that reaches millions of voters. In a moment, I'm going to tell you a little about what we’ve been up to, but first I have to ask, if you’re able, can you chip in $5 to help us stay on track?

This week we:

Participated in the first debate of the race, where Brad stood out as the only one on the stage with concrete ideas for how to rebuild a far more equitable economy
Received the endorsement of Teamsters Local 202, the union that won a recent strike victory for essential workers in the Bronx
Announced the endorsements of a half dozen Democratic clubs dedicated to electing progressive leaders
Staffed up with 5 new amazing team members to build out our field, political, and communications work

There’s a ton going on, stay tuned for more ways to get involved very soon to elect a Comptroller who shares our values and will work hard every day to build a just recovery for all New Yorkers. But we won’t be able to do any of this if we don’t reach our fundraising goals. Can you give $5 today to keep us on track?
